Role Description

The Centre for Asylum Seekers, Refugees and Detainees (CARAD) provide specialised welfare and advocacy assistance to clients. Many of CARAD’s clients do not have the right to work and are ineligible for financial support. Essential components of our Client Services Program are our Foodbank and Emergency Relief services which provide for basic needs for asylum seekers experiencing financial hardship.
The intern will strengthen CARADs social media presence and develop a framework/guide that supports a sustainable model for future social media communications. The role will include developing content for social media platforms and newsletters. Social media is used to; Source donations for the CARAD Foodbank, Engage members and volunteers, Community engagement, Educating and informing about the plight of displaced people and dispelling myths and misinformation.
