The University of WA, 2020

The University of Western Australia is part of the Matariki Network of Universities (MNU), a network of seven universities ‘partnering for a better world’. The McCusker Centre for Citizenship proudly supports this work through our different programs and promotion of active citizenship in the community.

As part of the MNU Global Citizenship Programme, the third Global Citizenship Forum will be hosted by the University of WA under the theme of Creating Spaces for Dialogue.

In July 2019, three students from the McCusker Centre for Citizenship travelled to Durham, United Kingdom to attend the forum, themed Empowering Learners. In 2018, three students from the McCusker Centre for Citizenship travelled to Otago, NZ, to attend the forum, themed Community Engagement and Global Citizenship. This video captures the ideas and aims of students who attended the forum. You can also read about the experience of attending the forum from one of our students.
