Role Title: Research Intern
Organisation: Telethon Speech and Hearing
Internship Period: Summer (November - December)
Location: Wembley
The intern will be working on the Talkabout School Program, within the Research & Evaluation Department.
The intern will be undertaking the following tasks:
(a) Data entry and collation of standardised assessment data for Motor, Concepts, Language, Self-Help, and Social Development;
(b) Summary of key findings and data visualisation (graphing);
(c) Presentation/sharing of the findings with relevant staff members; and
(d) Development of plain language summary.
The assessment was administered by occupational therapists in a specialised program that is designed for Kindy and Prekindy students with language delays/disorders.
Outcomes will help the program's data informed decision making process.
Intern students will have opportunity to be exposed to an inter-disciplinary, family centred, highly professional working environment.
