Role Title: Marketing & Communications Assistant Intern
Organisation: Nardine Wimmin's Refuge
Internship Period: Winter (June - July)
Location: East Victoria Park
Nardine is looking for someone who has the empathy and ability to help us tackle one of Australia’s biggest and most painful problems. We’re at a very critical and exciting time where we’re re-defining our vision - undertaking a rebrand that will allow us to reach more people with more impact, to help as many people experiencing family and domestic violence as we can. We would love an intern to come onboard and help us to drive this change. The intern will be supervised by staff on the ground in Perth, while also being mentored by our Marketing Board Director (who is an Omnichannel Brand Planner based in London).
The ideal candidate would be completing their second or final year in a marketing, communications, journalism or related degree with strong administrative and communication skills, experience with social media and website maintenance.
Nardine was established in 1974 with a powerful vision – to help create a society free of family and domestic violence. Nardine believe it’s everyone’s fundamental right to feel safe, and to live in an environment where you can thrive.
They care deeply, so provide women and children experiencing domestic violence, with access to a strong support network – temporary accommodation, therapeutic services and advocacy in legal, housing and welfare matters – delivered by an agile, compassionate team who really understand the ups and downs families are going through, and how to help create an appropriate pathway forward. Nardine operate the oldest women’s refuge in Western Australia.
