Role Description

In this internship you will be working on a suite of research initiatives led by the ECU Social Ageing (SAGE) Futures Lab. Topics for these research projects include social support networks of people living with dementia, music engagement and dementia, culturally and linguistically diverse ageing, and the experiences of home care clients and their informal caregivers. This summer internship occurs during a dynamic period for the SAGE Lab, including our annual Ageing Research Forum, and a week long training and research communication event, both of which will involve working closely with NFP service provider research partners and visiting academics.
Your role may involve: literature review, data cleaning and analysis, report writing and editing, event coordination and administration, writing and design research communications for a variety of audiences.

The Social Ageing (SAGE) Futures Lab leads innovation in social and cultural care through collaborative research, consultancies, evaluation, knowledge and good practice exchange to develop effective evidence-based responses to four main critical issues: Social and Cultural Care; Diverse and Migrant Communities; Music and Arts Engagement; and Digital Ageing and Inclusion.
The SAGE Lab contributes social science perspectives and methodologies to the creative and caring professions with a focus on cultural and linguistic diversity and the role of social support networks (including formal/informal, local, distant, and virtual) to wellbeing across the life-course. Through research-led collaboration, evaluation and consultancies, the Lab facilitates partnerships with community, industry and government stakeholders to build capacity in research and training.
