Role Title: Community Engagement Intern
Organisation: Association for Services to Torture and Trauma Survivors (ASeTTS)
Internship Period: Semester 2 (August - November)
The intern will provide support to the senior leadership team and Board to identify and pursue opportunities to improve awareness of ASeTTS within the broader WA community, and to increase ASeTTS member numbers and member diversity.
The intern will undertake desktop review of similar organisations (size, purpose, services) to ASeTTS to understand: - the size and diversity of their membership base - brand awareness within community - how organisation market themselves in a values aligned, purpose driven manner to raise awareness of their work and the needs of the people being served This will involve: - liaising with key staff to understand ASeTTS training needs - drafting recommendation reports - supporting senior leaders to engage in marketing and brand awareness activities.
The Association for Services to Torture and Trauma Survivors (ASeTTS) has a proud history of serving humanitarian entrants and refugees settling in WA since 1992. ASeTTS aspires to provide holistic services that assist refugee survivors of torture and trauma to rebuild their lives.
