Research Intern: Voluntary Assisted Dying Guidelines

Role Title: Research Intern: Voluntary Assisted Dying Guidelines

Organisation: Council of the Ageing WA (COTA)

Internship Period: Winter (June - July)

Location: Victoria Park

Role Description

The intended outcome of this project is a hard copy and online guide for seniors which clarifies and simplifies the published processes for accessing voluntary assisted dying when the legislation comes into operation from July 2021. The required information is already available so the task involves analysing this, and re-presenting it, so it is more readily accessible to older people, especially those without access to online information. The internship would be most suited to a person with a law or public health background, as the issue is complex and involves an understanding of the legal issues involved.
