Role Title: Policies and Procedures Intern, Internal Policy Review Project Officer

This role will sit within the People and Culture Team. The intern will be responsible for the following tasks:
- undertake a complete review of all of our internal policies and procedures for Human Resources to undertake a gap analysis of what we have, what we need, what needs review/update. - research on best practice policy and ensure we meet legal obligations as well as social obligations (for example are they broad enough to ensure diversity and inclusion of different groups) - draft suggested new policy or changes to existing.
The WA Local Government Association (WALGA) is working for Local Government in Western Australia. As the peak industry body, WALGA advocates on behalf of WA's 139 Local Governments and negotiates service agreements for the sector. WALGA is not a government department or agency.
