Research Assistant Intern

Role Title: Research Assistant Intern

Organisation: UWA Social Care and Ageing Living Lab

Internship Period: Semester 2 (August - November)

Location: Crawley

Role Description

The UWA Social Care and Ageing (SAGE) Living Lab conducts research that foregrounds 'social ageing' . This approach emphasises the role and value of the relationships in an individual's social support network, as well as the use of technologies to mediate local, virtual and distant support networks.
We apply this approach in various applied research projects in partnership with state and local government, and with aged care and community service providers. The student intern research assistant will be directly involved in the research process, including conducting research, managing research administration, and contributing to written research outputs. This may include summaries of interviews and focus groups, literature review, and/or sections of interim and final report. The internship will involve working in collaboration with a dynamic and multidisciplinary team of researchers, and will usually involve engaging with research participants and/or external stakeholders
