Role Title: Fundraising Intern, Conference Sponsor

WACSSO's vision is that every student in Western Australia has access to the best education possible. WACSSO holds an annual conference for its members: P&C volunteers from across Western Australia, who come together to connect to network, get fresh ideas to improve public school education in WA, they listen to engaging speakers, hear the latest educational research, access government decision makers, participate in informative workshops, meet WACSSO staff/State Council and gain access to conference sponsors. https://www.wacsso.wa.edu.au/events/wacsso-conference/
Sponsors are often vendors who can supply goods and services to schools/P&Cs (from insurance, photography, food products for canteens, stationery, the latest play equipment, and fundraising items). Securing major sponsors is imperative for the financial sustainability of the conference, and ensuring those sponsors are appropriate and deliver value to our attendees is equally important. The main goal of the role is to secure a $10,000 app sponsor for our Conference, however there are a number of sponsorship options the team aims to achieve ($20k Platinum, $15k Gold, $4k Silver, and $10k Sundowner) and we would be delighted if our intern secured, or contributed to the securing of, any such sponsor.
WACSSO is the peak body representing parents of public school students in Western Australia. We provide services and representation at State and National level to over 650 Parents and Citizens Associations (P&Cs) in Western Australia.
We work to empower our affiliates through support services, knowledge-sharing, and learning opportunities. Together with the P&C community and other stakeholders, WACSSO works tirelessly to advance public education in Western Australia. We believe every student should have access to the best education possible. We work passionately to improve the public education system, never losing sight of a simple principle: that we are stronger together.
