Role Description

Data, research and reporting project for Murlpirrmarra Connection, a Not for Profit organisation, to action 'Closing the Gap' measures in educating indigenous children.
This is an opportunity to collate and analyse data to measure program effectiveness and to develop Dashboard reporting to present to Murlpirrmarra Board members, including Martu elders and patron, the honourable Fred Chaney, AO. Murlpirrmarra Connections is a not for profit organisation that exists to improve the well-being of Aboriginal youth in remote communities throughout Western Australia by facilitating their educational management and providing opportunities for community sport, recreation and health programs. It is envisaged that the intern will have opportunities to liaise with and work with the CEO and Operations Manager of Murlpirrmarra Connection and the participating students and gain an understanding of the wider public and private sector community engaged with Indigenous Education. There is also the opportunity for the intern to work part time or casual following the completion of the internship.

Murlpirrmarra Connection is a not-for-profit organisation that exists to provide Aboriginal youth in the remote communities of Western Australia with educational opportunities.
We deliver programs that are designed to support Aboriginal students throughout their years in secondary school. Our programs are culturally appropriate and aim to ensure these young men and women are prepared for their transition beyond school, into tertiary studies, training and employment.
