Role Title: The Longest Shortcut Project Coordinator

The intern will work in collaboration with Transitional Support Service (TSS) on a project which aims to showcase at State and National levels the condition of young people leaving care in WA, the challenges they face, what is working and what is not working at socioeconomic level and what needs to change in the current system.
The objective of this project is to advocate for a change of the leaving care system in WA with the respect and promotion of human rights for all of the young people involved in this system. The successful intern will work directly on the project on the third stage. As part of the task, the intern will liaise with the team and clients to begin to plan and map out a journey across Australia which will be symbolic of the journey of a young person transitioning out of care in WA. The ideal candidate would have a passion for human rights, advocacy, community engagement and stakeholder relationship. It would be preferred to have a candidate with experience/interest in project management, communication and marketing.
