Role Description

The Community Events Intern will support the organisation to plan and support a number of Shire events including the 150th Anniversary/Outdoor Activity Space Launch event for the Gingin town (October) and event documentation if and as required (such as Third Party Event’s FAQ Sheet).

The Shire of Gingin is a predominantly rural area located 84 kilometres north of Perth and its district falls within the central coastal region of the Wheatbelt in Western Australia. It encompasses an area of 3,223 km2 and is home to a population of approximately 5,000 residents. There are five townships within the Shire being Gingin, Guilderton, Lancelin, Ledge Point and Seabird. The Shire has five overarching objectives that have been defined through community input: Community Wellbeing, Natural Environment, Infrastructure & Development, Economic Development and Governance.
