Role Title: History Research Intern

Organisation: The Pickle District

Internship Period: Winter (June - July)

Location: West Perth

Role Description

The intern will support a project of Historical Research and Investigation in the Pickle District (West Perth). The purpose of the work is to: celebrate our 100 year history and unique character and point of difference; attract more people to the area as tenants, businesses, patrons and visitors; and, build awareness and sense of place.
Scope of work: To undertake historical research and source historic images, maps and other material about the area to support the launch event. The historical information will inform projections around the site, a guided walk and other immersive content and activities provided for guests and visitors. The body of work gathered and produced for the launch will also form the foundations of the development of future historical investigations, interpretative installations, artworks, events and festivals, exhibitions, workshops and marketing for the Pickle District and its people.
