In December 2019, the McCusker Centre for Citizenship signed a partnership agreement with the WA Local Government Association and Local Government Professionals WA (LGPWA) to offer University of WA students more internships in local government.
The Centre recently designed and published a booklet that highlights student and supervisor experiences in a variety of local government-based internships. The internships include the City of Gosnells, City of Stirling, Regional Early Education and Development, Shire of Gingin, and LGPWA.
