Role Title: Youth Program Intern for Aboriginal Arts Program

The Youth Program Intern for the Aboriginal Arts Program will assist in delivering engaging and culturally enriching art workshops and classes for youth from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds. In some contexts, they may also work with youth from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CaLD) backgrounds and those who are considered ‘at risk’. This position offers an opportunity to inspire and empower young learners while promoting art, culture, and heritage.
Responsibilities:
Help facilitate art workshops and classes for youth.
Provide guidance to help students develop their artistic skills and confidence.
Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity, self-expression, and cultural connection.
Highlight opportunities to deepen students' understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal culture.
Collaborate with program coordinators, and guest artists to develop engaging curriculum and programming.
Evaluate student progress, provide constructive feedback, and celebrate their achievements.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during program activities.
