Role Title: Emergency Relief Service Intern - Digital Engagement Project

Vinnies Emergency Relief service supports vulnerable Western Australians with basic essentials such as food, bills, clothing and emotional support. State-wide, Vinnies helps up to 53,000 people each year.
Vinnies Support Centre in Joondalup is one of the busy place based service centres which provides face to face support in the form of emergency relief and financial counselling. as a busy hub located in the northern corridor, we are continually developing this service and looking at ways to provide further value to our clients and the community.
recently, the centre has been set up with a computer, printer and a desk for clients to access. the aim of this project is to design a program that proactively engages clients to use the computer. this may include
- developing policies for safe use
- researching similar programs to understand how technology can support client cohorts and best practice in establishing an ongoing program. This may include meeting with stakeholders, designing a client survey, interviewing staff or doing desktop research into similar initiatives
- comparing and presenting options on how the digital engagement program could operate on an ongoing and sustainable basis.
- establishing promotional materials to kick off the initiative
