Children’s University Program Development Intern

Role Title: Children’s University Program Development Intern

Organisation: City of Armadale

Internship Period: Summer (November - December)

Location: Armadale

Role Description

The City of Armadale is seeking a motivated and creative intern to research, design and develop a new Children’s University program offering engaging learning experiences for school-aged children during the school holidays.
With an established student community and a growing range of student services, the organisation is looking to expand its engagement with families and young learners. The intern will research existing children’s programs and educational activities offered by other organisations, identify opportunities and develop a proposed program tailored to the organisation’s resources, facilities and objectives. The project will involve designing an engaging, approximately one-hour learning session that encourages children to explore new ideas, develop skills and discover learning beyond the classroom. The intern will consider suitable themes, activities, delivery methods, resource requirements and ways to make the program accessible and appealing to children. Working with the program lead, the intern will take ownership of the research and program development process, producing a practical program proposal that can be used to guide future implementation.
