Role Title: Research Intern

The Research Event Intern will delve into the latest global advancements in Neurofibromatosis (NF), with a focus on genetic developments, novel treatments, and diagnostic advancements. The intern will analyse findings from Australian, UK, and USA research institutions to produce a comprehensive report. Additionally, they will contribute to community engagement by developing informative social media content and assisting in efforts to map NF patients in WA.
Synthesize complex scientific findings into clear, concise reports for a lay audience.
Draft at least six factual articles along with several informative social media posts based on research findings, highlighting "good news," "things to monitor," and potential participation opportunities.
Research & compile information on current NF happenings and developments specifically within Western Australia.
Complete 4/5 engaging case studies for presentation in online platforms - Photo, Impact of NF, experiences, benefits of connections etc
Assist in efforts to find and map NF patients in WA, potentially by utilizing existing contacts and approved NF Facebook group information, and exploring the feasibility of a brief survey (adhering to all privacy and ethical guidelines).
Support the planning and promotion of an event , including content development for presentations and workshops related to NF advancements.
Identify opportunities for NF patients in Australia, particularly WA, to participate in ongoing studies or research trials
