Role Title: Legal Intern

Internship Period: Semester 2 (July – October)

Role Description

Working under the supervision of the General Counsel and working closely with the Audit Risk Team- this role provides support in coordination, governance and compliance across complex negotiations and agreements.
Key responsibilities include: • Coordinating negotiations and stakeholder engagement processes • Preparing briefing materials, documentation and meeting records • Tracking agreements through drafting, review and finalisation stages • Maintaining strong document control and accurate recordkeeping • Monitoring actions, resolutions and key deliverables to ensure timely progression • Liaising with external legal advisers, proponents and internal stakeholders This role requires flexibility to align working hours with key meetings, preparation and attendance. About You You will bring strong attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment. You must be personable, able to respond to tasks promptly, continue to follow through when there are delays, and be comfortable in a support focused role. Essential: • Law degree or qualification in legal studies, governance or related discipline • Experience in legal practice, paralegal, governance or agreement coordination • Very strong written and verbal communication skills • Highly organised with the ability to manage complex documentation • Ability to work independently and engage effectively with stakeholders
