Role Title: UniIT Intranet Redesign (SharePoint Hub Site) Intern 1

UWA’s IT team is rebuilding its internal site as a modern SharePoint hub site, creating a central, well-structured destination that connects key IT content, news, and resources for staff. The new hub will provide shared navigation, a consistent look and feel, and easier discovery of important information across associated IT sites. As an intern on this project, you will:
Work with stakeholders to understand UniIT communication and information needs, and translate them into a clear site structure and navigation.
Help design and configure the SharePoint hub site, including pages, web parts (news, events, highlighted content), and branding elements.
Assist with content migration, quality checks, and basic training materials or guides to support staff adoption of the new intranet.
This internship is ideal for students interested in digital workplace tools, information architecture, and user‑centred intranet design, and offers hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online.
UWA IT facilitates and supports the information technology requirements at UWA for both, staff and students.
