Role Title: Research Intern - WA R&D Initiatives

The Division of Science and Technology within the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation (JTSI) manages the 10-Year Science and Technology Plan which aims to improve WA's science and technology capabilities.
The Minister for Science is interested in gaining a wholistic picture of research and development activity happening across the public sector. This will help us to better understand the depth and breadth of research happening in agencies as well as allow us to identify gaps and new opportunities.
This role will involve researching R&D programs and outreach activities happening across the public sector. It will also involve liaising with other public agencies to gather information in an engaging way. While in the role there will also be the opportunity to work on other projects.
We lead Western Australia's economic development, international trade and investment, and tourism, and promote the defence, international education, science and innovation sectors. Our mission is to promote Western Australia and advance the diversification and growth of the State’s economy.
