Role Title: Project Intern Child Safety Team Joondalup
Organisation: Department of Communities
Internship Period: Semester 2 (July – October)
Location: Joondalup
The intern will be assisting the Joondalup District to prepare a presentation for the Signs of Safety Gathering to be held in November 2025.
The aim of the presentation is to showcase how district staff have applied Signs of Safety child protection case practice; an example of working with a family will feature in the presentation. A project management approach will be used to plan and prepare the presentation. The intern will work alongside district staff and co-lead the project. Activities will include developing scoping, monitoring scope creep, tracking timelines, developing content for the presentation inclusive of scripting, PowerPoint and multimedia as interviews will need to occur with the family and be recorded and edited.
The Department collaborates to create pathways that enable individual, family and community wellbeing. What we do has far-reaching impacts across all aspects of society. Supporting wellbeing can mean many things including ensuring children are safe, helping people access a home, or creating diverse and inclusive communities.
