Role Description

This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to support the communications and content work of the Hospitality Disability Network WA (HDNWA), a not-for-profit organisation focused on inclusive employment in hospitality and tourism.
Working closely with the organisation’s Marketing and Communications Lead and program staff, the intern will help turn existing programs, events and ideas into clear, engaging content for digital channels. This includes drafting written content, reviewing previous marketing activity and the current content calendar, and helping build a reusable bank of content for future use. The intern will also assist with reviewing HDNWA’s current marketing and website content through a best-practice and accessibility lens, providing practical, evidence-based recommendations to support continuous improvement. All work will be advisory and completed under staff guidance, with final approvals remaining with HDNWA staff. The intern will primarily interact with: • the Marketing and Communications Lead • program and project staff across the organisation • community-focused employment and inclusion initiatives This role is well suited to students interested in communications, marketing, social impact or not-for-profit work who want practical experience contributing to purpose-driven storytelling.
