Role Description

The Intern will be involved in supporting the South Metropolitan Health Services' (SMHS) Talent Acquisition Manager, notably, developing resources to support the Talent Acquisition Team in managing the Candidate journey within SMHS and develop resources that align with the SMHS value of Care and Excellence.
The Candidate care plays a pivotal role in the recruitment of candidates by offering personalised and comprehensive support to international, interstate and local candidates throughout the recruitment, selection and onboarding process. This approach ensures that candidates receive assistance with essential tasks such as visa applications, compliance documentation, and relocation logistics, including travel and accommodation arrangements. By acting as a liaison between candidate and the SMHS hiring manager, the role will foster seamless communication and helps address any challenges that may arise during the recruitment, onboarding and transition of the new joinee into SMHS. This personally tailored service not only enhances the candidate experience but also strengthens the employer’s ability to attract and retain top talent in a competitive global market. The intern will be expected to – • Understand and examine existing SMHS recruitment and onboarding processes • Research and analyse candidate onboarding industry best practice • Develop resources for candidate care for the Talent Acquisition officers and hiring managers
