THIS IS A PARTIAL WORK FROM HOME ROLE - ONCE EVERY THIRD WEEK
The Community Campaigns & Fundraising Intern will support Bridge Builders in the planning and delivery of its inaugural Anti-Poverty Week 2026 community awareness and fundraising campaign. Working alongside the CEO, the student will research best practice awareness campaigns and fundraising initiatives, develop campaign concepts and marketing strategies, coordinate stakeholder engagement with businesses, schools, community groups and local government, and assist in planning a flagship community fundraising event. The intern will contribute to creating compelling campaign messaging that raises awareness of poverty, food insecurity and the challenges faced by local families while encouraging the Peel community to take action through volunteering, fundraising and advocacy. The role will also involve developing sponsorship opportunities, community engagement resources and evaluation measures to help establish Anti-Poverty Week as an annual Bridge Builders campaign. This role is ideal for students studying Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, Event Management, Community Development, Social Sciences or related disciplines who are passionate about creating positive social impact through community engagement, strategic communications and fundraising.
