Role Description

The primary objective is to develop an Early Career Placement Framework that enables structured student placements within Indigo Junction’s Service Delivery areas. The framework will provide meaningful learning experiences, including rotational opportunities across service areas to build broad understanding of community service practice. Reporting to the People and Culture Manager, the intern will assist in researching best practice placement models, assessing organisational capacity & translating findings into a practical framework aligned with service delivery needs & organisational values.
Key responsibilities include: - Review current student placement practices and identify gaps & opportunities for improvement - Research best practice models for student placements & rotational frameworks in community services - Consult with service delivery teams to understand capacity, learning opportunities, & supervision requirements - Assist in developing an Early Career Placement Framework, including rotation structure, guidelines & processes - Contribute to supporting tools such as placement plans, learning objectives & evaluation templates The placement would suit a student undertaking a degree in community services, social work, psychology, human resources, or related discipline with an interest in workforce development & student learning pathways. The ideal candidate will have strong research & analytical skills & the ability to translate information into practical frameworks
