Role Title: Grants and Fundraising Intern - Rockingham General Hospital
Organisation: South Metropolitan Health Service
Internship Period: Winter (June - July)
Location: Rockingham General Hospital
The intern will be working within a team that leads on projects, staff engagement and volunteer management. This includes the development of a therapeutic garden for the aged care and rehabilitation ward at Rockingham General Hospital - a peaceful, sensory-rich space for patients to recover and regain confidence. While the hospital has funding for the basics, we need to raise the additional money needed to make the garden a reality. The intern will help with strategies to raise money for this specific project, as well as looking at the hospital's approach to grants and fundraising more broadly, delivering some recommendations and strategy for the future.
The staff working at Rockingham Peel Group (RKPG) are a close community and we are excited by the opportunity to welcome McCusker interns into our work family. We are looking for individuals who feel excited by the idea of working in a hospital and are hungry to know more and make a difference. While we pride ourselves on the quality of our mentoring and support, you will be expected to work autonomously and show initiative. We are looking for interns who are proactive and self-directed with great interpersonal skills and lots of energy, as well as being flexible, accountable and professional. What we will give you in return is the chance to be part of a passionate and energetic team, leading a really interesting project that will make a genuine difference in the lives of others.
