Role Title: Occupational Health & Safety Project Intern

Internship Period: Summer (November - December)
Location: Armadale
The Intern will support Minnawarra House in strengthening its workplace health and safety framework through a targeted project.
Working closely with the management team, the intern will conduct an on-site safety audit, identify workplace hazards and areas for improvement, and develop a comprehensive hazardous substances register. The intern will also make recommendations to improve overall health and safety at the facility.
The intern will assist in reviewing current safety practices and provide recommendations to support compliance with relevant Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation and best practice. The intern will also conduct some risk assessments of regularly conducted activities at the centre; reviewing prior and existing risk assessments for accuracy and compliance with legislation.
This role offers practical experience in workplace safety, risk management, and organisational compliance within the community services sector.
