Role Title: Marketing and Educational Materials for the Bindjareb Geopark Development Intern

Internship Period: Winter (June - July)

Location: Mandurah

Role Description

This internship will support the Bindjareb Geopark project by developing engaging marketing and educational materials to promote the region’s unique geological, environmental and cultural values. The intern will develop social media, print and educational content, working closely with PDC, Geoparks WA and other stakeholders to translate technical information into engaging public-facing materials.
The intern will work with: - Peel Development Commission (PDC) as the primary host organisation - Geoparks WA - Regional tourism and marketing stakeholders (Visit Mandurah, Trails WA) - Local governments - Potential to engage with other community stakeholders The intern will: - Develop social media content (posts, captions, basic campaigns) - Develop flyers, brochures and other promotional materials - Translate existing technical and tourism content into clear, engaging educational messaging for different audiences (e.g. visitors, schools, community). - Assist with storytelling and content creation, potentially including short videos or podcasts - Support website and online content updates

o To support and promote the development of Geoparks, Geotourism and Geotrails with a focus in Western Australia; o To facilitate marketing collectives for Geoparks, Geotourism and Geotrails; o To encourage stakeholder participation and collaboration in the establishment of Geoparks, Geotourism and Geotrails in Western Australia; and o To co-operate with like-minded entities and individuals in promoting all aspects of tourism visitation related to geological aspects of the Western Australian environment.
