WASEC is a fast-paced, for-purpose organisation — one of the only places in WA solely focused on building and championing the social enterprise sector. As our data intern, you'll be getting in on the ground floor, with a real opportunity to streamline and turbo-boost our processes, leaving a lasting mark on how we operate. No two days look the same, and your work will directly support a small but mighty team punching well above its weight.
The intern will support data, research, and systems improvement activities to strengthen organisational capability and sector insight. This includes cleaning and auditing the CRM by resolving syncing issues, deduplicating contacts, and improving member record consistency to support membership workflows. The role will also involve mapping members across Western Australia, including regional distribution, sectors, and impact areas, to support strategic planning and stakeholder storytelling. The intern will collate and analyse awards data (nominations, finalists, and outcomes) to support sponsorship and grant reporting, and conduct sector research on social enterprises in regional WA to identify key organisations, activities, and gaps, particularly in relation to disaster resilience and regional impact. They will also build and maintain a structured database of potential funders, sponsors, and corporate partners, including contact details, alignment areas, and funding cycles, to support more targeted engagement.
