Gap Analysis Intern: Best Practice Guidelines for Australian Hospitals

Role Title: Gap Analysis Intern: Best Practice Guidelines for Australian Hospitals

Organisation: South Metropolitan Health Service

Internship Period: Summer (November - December)

Location: Rockingham

Role Description

At Rockingham Peel Group, we are passionate about engaging in best practice including looking at how we can implement the recently published "Preventing falls and harm from falls in Older People" Best Practice Guidelines for Australian Hospitals.
This project involves reading the guidelines (with therapist support), creating and using a gap analysis tool or table to itemise the intervention best practice points, and working with key stakeholder (interview, email) to gather information on what tools or strategies we currently have in place, and what gaps we currently have. It is envisioned that this would be collated in a Gap Analysis document or table (Excel) to hand back to key stakeholders in falls. We are looking for individuals who feel excited by the idea of working in a hospital and are hungry to know more and make a difference. While we pride ourselves on the quality of our mentoring and support, you will be expected to work autonomously and show initiative. We are looking for interns who are proactive and self-directed with great interpersonal skills and lots of energy, as well as being flexible, accountable and professional. What we will give you in return is the chance to be part of a passionate and energetic team, leading a really interesting project that will make a genuine difference in the lives of others. And if there is time outside of your project work, we look forward to giving you other opportunities to learn more about working in healthcare.
