Role Title: Risk Management Policy and Procedures Research & Development Intern
Organisation: Youth Affairs Council of WA (YACWA)
Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)
Location: Perth
The Risk Management Policy and Procedures Research & Development Intern will support YACWA to explore how risk management tools and procedures are currently being used across the organisation and contribute to the development of an internal risk management policy, procedures, and standardised template.
Over the course of the internship, the intern will meet with key staff to explore the risks that exist within different program areas, and how these risks are currently identified, assessed, and mitigated. This will likely involve a combination of meetings and surveys. The intern will collect and review existing risk management plans currently in use and research best-practice risk management approaches from similar sectors and organisations.
Using these insights, the intern will develop a draft Risk Management Policy and Procedures document aligned with YACWA’s existing internal policies and frameworks. They will also develop a standard risk management template for staff to use across the organisation.
