Role Title: Research Intern
Organisation: Australian Council on Smoking and Health (ACOSH)
Internship Period: Summer (November - December)
Location: Subiaco
The Australian Council of Smoking and Health (ACOSH) is Australia’s leading tobacco control advocacy organisation. Our goal is to create a tobacco and vape free Australia. We do that by engaging with community and government leaders to achieve meaningful change via introducing or amending regulations and policies which will reduce smoking and vaping.
We are looking for a research intern to support the establishment of a new project exploring tobacco industry interference in international scientific evidence. The project will involve identifying conflict of interest in scientific evidence through established data collection protocols, liaising with stakeholders (tobacco control researchers, public health professionals and academics) to meet project deadlines, and contributing to advocacy outputs arising from the project.
This role would suit someone who can work both independently and as part of a team; who has a positive/can-do energy; and who has an interest in public health, ethics and investigative research.
ACOSH's mission is to advocate for a tobacco and vape-free future.
