Role Title: Project Intern - Sustainable Action August

The Grand Challenges programme engages students to contribute toward solutions for Climate Change and for a More Just and Equitable World. This internship focuses on creating student engagement opportunities including events and on-campus initiatives to increase engagement and develop agency with UWA students.
This role will involve planning and supporting a series of events and activations for Sustainable Action August. This includes a UWA Share Bike pilot project, re-purposing confiscated bikes, setting up a system for students to be able to access and loan bikes, activations to encourage low carbon transit, Sustainable Action Pledges and sustainability lectures.
The intern will also be responsible for providing broader project support for Sustainable Action August initiatives including on campus activations and liaising with student and staff stakeholders across UWA, drafting communications about the events and considering their evaluation and developing online resources.
Student Wellbeing and Engagement is a division of Student Life at UWA. The teams consist off StudySmarter, UniAccess, Student Equity, Counselling, International, Health Promotion Unit, Wellbeing and Student Engagement. We are student focused in the areas of academic success and health, wellbeing and engagement.
