Save Scott Reef Intern

Role Title: Save Scott Reef Intern

Organisation: Conservation Council WA

Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)

Location: West Perth

Role Description

Scott Reef is a fragile, living treasure that is home to endangered green turtles, elusive pygmy blue whales and rare sharks. This coral sanctuary is under threat from Woodside’s plan to drill for gas.
The Conservation Council of WA (CCWA) aims to educate the public on the threats to Scott Reef and to build a powerful movement of West Australians who regularly and visibly show state and federal decision-makers the depth of community support to protect Scott Reef. The intern will work with CCWA's Fossil Fuels program, and assist with increasing visibility of the Save Scott Reef campaign by engaging with local businesses and community groups and distributing informational materials. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in community engagement and movement building, and develop organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
