Role Description

Role Purpose
The Outcare Intern will support the Marketing Lead in delivering a defined marketing and communications project. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in sector-focused communications and/or event preparation and management, contributing to Outcare’s visibility, engagement, and impact. Key Responsibilities Work with the Marketing Lead to scope and deliver a specific marketing project, such as: Reviewing and improving Outcare’s sector communications approach; and/or Supporting the planning, promotion, and delivery of events. Conduct background research on target audiences, stakeholders, and sector trends. Assist in developing communication materials (e.g. email campaigns, social media content, event collateral). Support coordination tasks for events (e.g. timelines, stakeholder engagement, logistics). Provide recommendations to improve engagement, reach, and messaging effectiveness. Present project outcomes and insights at the conclusion of the internship. Key Deliverables A clearly defined project plan (developed with the Marketing Lead) Communication assets and/or event support outputs A short report or presentation outlining findings, outcomes, and recommendations Skills & Experience (Desirable) Interest in marketing, communications, or events Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and manage tasks to deadlines Research and analytical capability Familiarity with social media or digital communications tools
