Role Title: Urban Forest Strategy Intern

Internship Period: Semester 1 (February - May)

Role Description

The intern will be reviewing and updating the Greening Gosnells Strategy, which will explore how the City can continue to improve tree canopy, biodiversity, and green space planning. The role will primarily interact with the Parks and Environment team, but may also involve engagement with other City departments, external, and community members. The intern's work will directly inform the next stage of the Greening Gosnells Strategy.
Key tasks may include: Review and update key documents and datasets Analysing external research and preparing a findings report with recommendations. Reviewing the original Greening Gosnells Strategy and updating it with the latest information and data. Cross-reference the goals and actions in the current Strategy against what has actually been completed to date. Develop an implementation plan for outstanding and new goals to guide the next stage of the Strategy. Running a consultation project or developing tools
