Role Title: Project Intern: Pingelly Times Review

The Pingelly Community Resource Centre (CRC) is seeking an intern to support a local media project in partnership with the Pingelly Times, a volunteer-run weekly newspaper operating for over 40 years. The project aims to document and share the inspiring stories of Pingelly residents—past and present—while preserving the town’s rich cultural and historical heritage.
The intern will assist with researching, interviewing, and writing resident stories; creating reusable content templates; and promoting the stories through local channels. They will also explore cost-effective digital platforms to help transition the Pingelly Times into a partially digital format.
This role offers hands-on experience in local journalism, community engagement, and digital media strategy. It will support the creation of a lasting archive of Pingelly’s people and history while helping future volunteers continue the storytelling process.
