Role Title: Flourishing Child - Voice of the Child Project Intern

ORIGINS is a birth cohort tracking the health and wellbeing of 10,000 Western Australian families, enrolled during pregnancy. It is currently funded to follow up participating children and their families into early childhood.
A number of sub-projects operate within the wider cohort, studying specific research questions relating to different aspects child and family health and wellbeing. We are looking for an intern to contribute to the Voice of the Child project which sits under the Flourishing Child sub-project of ORIGINS. As part of the project, children aged 3-5 years participated in a ‘Draw and Tell’ activity where they were asked to draw a picture representing a domain of flourishing from the early childhood flourishing framework we have developed while their parents guided the conversation by asking questions throughout. We have now completed data collection and have a rich dataset of children’s drawings and accompanying audio recordings. We are entering the data analysis phase and are looking for an intern to assist with this work. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a novel project that places children’s voices at the centre of research so we can better understand what flourishing means to them.
