Digital Health Innovation Intern - Co-designing the pregnancy WA App

Role Title: Digital Health Innovation Intern - Co-designing the pregnancy WA App

Organisation: North Metropolitan Health Service

Internship Period: Summer (November - December)

Location: Subiaco, WA 6008

Role Description

The purpose of this project is to explore and develop a prototype for a Western Australian pregnancy application that provides women and families with accessible, evidence-based and locally relevant information throughout pregnancy, postnatal and planning for a future pregnancy
Pregnant women currently receive information from numerous sources, including health services, printed resources, websites, social media and commercial pregnancy applications. Information may be inconsistent, difficult to navigate, not applicable to the Western Australian healthcare system or not based on current clinical evidence. The proposed Pregnancy WA application would provide women with a trusted digital entry point for pregnancy information and services in Western Australia. It would complement, rather than replace, advice and care provided by maternity clinicians. The intern will work with clinicians, consumers and relevant stakeholders to create this WA specific mobile application
