Role Title: Event Planning and Marketing Intern

The Event Planning and Marketing Intern will play a hands-on role in helping deliver the WA Youth Awards for 2026. Working alongside YACWA’s Communications and Events team, the intern will support key planning tasks and help bring the celebration of young people to life.
This role will assist with event logistics, coordinating suppliers, managing registrations, preparing run sheets, and supporting accessibility and youth-friendly considerations. The intern will also help with marketing and promotion, including drafting social media content, creating simple digital assets, and supporting outreach to partners, youth organisations, and participants. You may also help with securing nominations for the awards, promoting the finalists, assisting with interviews for nominees, and other event-related tasks.
This internship offers practical experience in delivering a large-scale youth-focused event, building skills in coordination, communication, and creative content development. We’re looking for someone organised, enthusiastic, and excited to help shape a vibrant, meaningful celebration for young people in WA.
