Imagined Futures is a placed based collective impact partnership, which includes 75 partners from government and not-for profit organisations in Cockburn, Fremantle and Melville. We work together on complex social issues across a number of working groups including, housing and homelessness, mental health, family and domestic violence, children and young people and Davis Park community initiative. One of our key projects has been Where is the door?, which helps people in our community to find support when they need it through a multifaceted approach including a website, resources, community workshops, service provider education and training and more.
The Internship role will include reviewing Imagined Futures social media channels and evaluating what's working well. This will inform a strategy to improve reach to young people via social media or other communication methods to promote Where is the door? for young people, a newly launched resource to support young people find help when they need it for things like urgent help, mental health, housing and money issues and wellbeing support. The role will help to edit, create and schedule content to reach out to young people in our community. The intern will primarily be in the office, however there may be opportunities to attend events related to this project depending on the days they are doing the internship.
The Imagined Futures partnership consists of members who live or work in the local government areas of Cockburn, Fremantle and Melville. Members come from a variety of sectors, including government and non-government human services, business and philanthropy, as well as the community. Our mission is to mobilise the collective resources of not-for-profit organisations, local, state and commonwealth government agencies, business and community members to provide all individuals and families in the South West Metropolitan region with the opportunity to enjoy quality of life.
