Our lab studies changes in the brain that occur following stress and researches novel treatments for depression in humans. Specifically relevant to this project, we also use animal models to examine the relationship between brain and behaviour. The intern will work on a machine learning software to prepare, process and analyse video recordings of animal behaviour. The internship is based at the Perron Institute and UWA on a dedicated desktop computer and requires good computational skills. There may be opportunity to be involved in other aspects of the research depending on timing and the intern's interest, but the primary focus will be on data analysis.
