Role Title: Environmental Sustainability Intern: Green Ward Initiatives

The intern will support the EMHS Sustainability Unit in the initial stages of developing and implementing a Green Ward project. The project aims to engage healthcare staff and relevant stakeholders in identifying practical opportunities to improve sustainability within their clinical areas. The intern will undertake a literature review of Green Ward implementation and sustainable healthcare initiatives, as well as engaging with clinical stakeholders to understand current practices. They will assist with gathering baseline information on waste generation, resource use and existing sustainability practices to identify opportunities, barriers and enablers to change. The intern will support in quantifying the impact of introducing the sustainability initiatives from a social, financial and carbon emissions saving perspective.
