Role Title: Appeals Support Intern
Organisation: UWA Development and Alumni Relations
Internship Period: Winter (June - July)
Location: Crawley, UWA Campus
Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) is responsible for leading on UWA’s alumni engagement activities and fundraising initiatives for new and existing donors.
The department works across the University and its various teams to develop strategies to ensure philanthropy is interconnected into all activity. This is pivotal to reach the goals of the University by ensuring we champion current alumni this will inspire future generations to choose UWA and make meaningful impact on society.
Fundraising is at the heart of the department and The University Appeal for many donors is the first touchpoint on their giving journey. Whilst it's imperative, we build out the pipeline at every stage; this needs to start at the first step of acquisition. The University Appeal is in its infancy currently involving three key appeals throughout the year. It is the intention to build out the appeals into a program which encompasses campaigns, university engagement among staff and students and increased donor relations related to impact reporting and supporter journeys. We are offering an exciting internship opportunity for an individual with a strong attention to detail, who is eager to play a key role in shaping this program and setting it up for success.
We are looking for an intern who has an eye for creativity and strong understanding of driving donor engagement. They must be keen to contribute to long-term strategy and developing processes for The University Appeal to evolve into.
OUR MISSION & PURPOSE
To be the connector between the passions and aspirations of our donors, alumni and community and the mission of UWA.
