Role Title: Research Support Intern for Complex Case Management Workshop
Organisation: Centre for Women's Safety and Wellbeing (CWSW)
Internship Period: Winter (June - July)
Location: West Perth
The intern will support the development of an integrated and responsive workshop series for staff working with women experiencing complex needs by identifying and reviewing existing resources, training programs, and tools already available in the sector or through allied services. The intern will be supervised by the Manager, Women's Health and Gender Equity.
Key Responsibilities:
Scan Existing Training and Workshop Materials
Identify relevant training programs, workshops, and professional development offerings from:
Women’s health services
Family and domestic violence (FDV) organisations
Mental health, AOD, and homelessness services
Primary health networks (PHNs)
Peak bodies (e.g. ANROWS, Our Watch, AIFS, Blue Knot Foundation)
Look for and catalogue resources relevant to:
Trauma-informed care
Vicarious trauma and staff wellbeing
Ethical decision-making in under-resourced systems
Triage and intake for complex needs
Cross-sector collaboration and peer learning
Identify Gaps and Opportunities:
Highlight areas where resources are lacking, outdated, or not adapted to a gendered or intersectional lens.
