Role Description

The primary objective of this placement is to support the development of a structured, evidence informed supervision framework that strengthens staff capability, wellbeing, and service quality. Reporting to the People and Culture Manager, the intern will help identify best practice approaches, assess organisational needs, and translate these into practical tools aligned with the organisation’s values and service delivery context. The role will contribute to a clear and implementable framework that promotes reflective practice, accountability, and consistency across teams.
Key responsibilities include: - Review current supervision practices and identify gaps & opportunities for improvement - Consult with stakeholders to understand supervision needs & expectations - Assist in developing a structured supervision framework, including guidelines, templates, & tools - Support the creation of policies, procedures, & training resources - Provide recommendations on implementation, including frequency, documentation, & accountability The placement would suit a student undertaking a degree in community services, social work, psychology or a related discipline with an interest in workforce wellbeing & service quality. The ideal candidate will have strong research & analytical skills. An understanding of trauma informed practice & experience in the community services sector would be advantageous along with a professional approach to confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
