Role Description

Career Pathway Mapping and Resource Development
Conduct research and mapping of career pathways across CSWA’s portfolio sectors. Involving identifying entry points, progression opportunities, and qualification pathways across a range of occupations. The findings will inform the development of a comprehensive Career Brochure to support sector promotion and career awareness. Research into Enrolled Nurse Workforce Transitions Undertake a detailed review and synthesis of data relating to the transition of Enrolled Nurses (ENs) to Registered Nurses (RNs). This project will analyse trends in workforce movement, with a focus on understanding whether ENs are remaining in their roles or transitioning to RN pathways, and the key drivers influencing these decisions. Insights will contribute to understanding the current shortage of Enrolled Nurses in WA and inform potential workforce strategies. Critical Occupation Deep Dive and Workforce Attraction Analysis Conduct an in-depth analysis of selected occupations identified through the WAJET 2026 submission as experiencing critical shortages, with demand projected to increase over the next 5 years. This project will explore workforce supply challenges, barriers to entry, and factors influencing low participation. The intern will also investigate opportunities to improve awareness, attractiveness, and entry into these occupations, with the aim of informing targeted workforce attraction strategies.
