Role Description

The Website Content Improvement Intern will support the organisation’s communications and digital presence by reviewing, improving, and maintaining the organisation’s website. The intern will focus on improving website usability, accessibility, structure, content, and overall user experience. This role involves practical implementation within WordPress, including making approved website updates and changes — not solely providing theoretical recommendations
The role involves researching similar community sector organisations, identifying best practices, reviewing existing website content, and recommending improvements to website layout, navigation, and messaging. Once recommendations have been reviewed and approved by management, the intern will implement approved updates within WordPress, including fixing broken links, correcting formatting inconsistencies, updating content, and improving website functionality. The intern will primarily interact with management and administrative staff for guidance, approvals, and project feedback, while also considering the needs of community members, clients, volunteers, and website visitors when making recommendations. The project supports broader organisational goals of improving communication, accessibility, community engagement, and ensuring website information remains accurate and user-friendly.
